Giving an offering is an act of worship and gratitude towards God. It is an opportunity for believers to contribute financially to the work of the church, including supporting ministry efforts, missions, and outreach programs.  The Bible teaches that giving should be done with a cheerful heart (2 Corinthians 9:7), and that offerings are a way to express faith, stewardship, and commitment to the church's mission.
