Hey Church Family! Happy New Year!
As we step into 2024, I want to express my gratitude for being part of this amazing church family. I truly believe that the best is yet to come for Lake Asbury Baptist Church! In our final sermon of 2023, we discussed the importance of having a clear vision and understanding the steps required to stay true to God's Word without compromising. This vision guides our journey as a church family made up of so many different people, united in Christ and committed to our mission. One exciting step we're taking together is a "Bible Recap" church-wide reading plan. Reading the Bible as a church family allows us to grow together, deepen our understanding of God's Word, and foster a sense of community. When we read the same passages, we can discuss and share insights, strengthening our faith and unity. The benefits of this are countless. Through daily Scripture reading, we draw closer to God, gain wisdom, and find comfort in His promises. It equips us to be more effective in sharing the Gospel with others. It also builds our spiritual endurance as we navigate life's challenges with the guidance of His Word.
As your pastor, I'm thrilled about what God will do through our obedience in 2024. When we align ourselves with His Word and embrace our church's vision, we become an even more powerful force for His kingdom. I'm confident that our commitment to personal growth, worship, Bible study, giving, serving, and sharing the Good News will make an impact in our community and beyond. Let's join in on this journey together with enthusiasm and expectation. I encourage each of you to consider participating in the "Bible Recap" reading plan, and let's hold each other accountable for staying on this path of faithfulness.
Thank you for being part of this church family. I can't wait to see the growth, transformation, and blessings that await us in 2024. Let's step into this year with faith, hope, and a commitment to stay true to God's Word without compromise.
In Christ,
Pastor James
